Pluot waffle syrup

Hey guys, I know I haven’t been on lately sorry for that but I have another recipe that will enjoy before the seasonal fruit runs out. Pluots are a mix between a plum and an apricot, it has the shape and texture of a plum but have the flavor of the apricot. So here’s the recipe for pluot waffle syrup.

2 medium sized pluots

1 clementine

1/4 of a teaspoon of sugar

a pinch of salt

1/2 a teaspoon of all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon of maple syrup

Step 1: Prep your pluots and squeeze the juice of the clementine. Add the sugar and salt. Mix until evenly distributed.

Step 2: Heat your pan or wok. Then add your pluots, sauté for about 3-4 min. then add a splash of water and your flour. The reason I wanted to add flour was that I wanted to make a sauce from the clementine juice, when you put the flour in stir immediately ( try making a small hole so that you don’t get the flour on the pluots) when you stir the flour into the juice then you have something called a rouge, since the flour is made of starch, when added to a liquid it sucks up the liquid thus giving you a sauce. Once you see the liquid thicken drizzle a little bit of maple syrup. Pour onto pancakes or waffles. Well hope you enjoy this recipe. If you have any problems making this then comment on the Foodie Complaints page and I will try to help you.

Vietnam

As all my friends know, I’m Vietnamese. I have experienced many things when I visited there. Even though I was six I still got to explore many new things like eating frog legs. That goes to show you that no matter how young you are you should open your heart and stomach to the many food and cultures that every country can offer.
